„The Caravan – For the Rights of Refugees and Migrants“ has been in existence since 1998. Back then, refugee and anti-racist organizations went through 44 German cities under the slogan „We don't have a choice – but we do have a voice“ in the run-up to the elections to the Bundestag.
Since then, the Caravan has become a platform 
of refugee self-organization which fights against racist special laws 
like „Residenzpflicht“ (residence duty / obligation), the isolation in 
camps,  deportations and the neo-colonial exploitation of the refugees' 
countries of birth.
How their fights appear, under which conditions 
refugees in the Federal Republic of Germany are forced to live and how 
an anti-racist, cooperative resistance could be organized, can be found
